Here's a pleasant memory of my summer in Oregon, depicting the shady green backyard of my friends' house.

Basket, Ukelele, Stuff On A Table

5 x 7 inches, oil on masonite.
$80
I'm always drawn to sunlight, and last week we got two sunny days in a row. This is our living room coffee table. It's usually much messier than this.

Life continues to be "full". I am spread thin with other obligations these days, and am unable to paint every day. Paintings will be produced and posted, but a little less frequently.

Also, I'm still working on a landscape I started in December. I'm not sure if it will live or die, but if I can get it right, I'll post it. I'm working off the computer monitor and am grappling with certain challenges I'm finding with this working method.

Santa, Lit-Up

5 x 7 inches, oil on masonite.
$80
That could explain how he's able to sit that way.

I warned you about more christmas-related imagery. This was started before Christmas, but was shoved onto a distant back burner, one that was apparently not on, for a week or so. I had fun painting it and really liked working on the light. Yes, I'd like to do more of this...

Glass Ornament on a Windowsill

2.5 x 5 inches, oil on masonite.
$35
I know the holidays are over, but that doesn't mean there won't be some Christmas-themed paintings popping up in the next week(s) or so. I have wanted to try painting these glass balls for a long time. This was a rapid sketch; I'd like to "do another larger one". You know, what I always say.

Curtain and Lamp

5 x 2.5 inches, oil on masonite. $35
Well, it's been a very full December. Now that the holidays are over I hope to get more painting time in. However, both Kay and I started new jobs in December. I hope once we settle into our new routines I'll find a rhythm, and will be able to paint and post regularly again.

I painted this tiny painting while 6 guys were nailing vinyl siding on our house. Like I said, it's been a busy month.
