The Backyard

5 x 7 inches, oil on board.
Part of Jim and Babette's back yard. It's a great place to be: private, green, a good mix of sun and shade, lots of interesting plants. And a kittycat who's fond of scaling the trees and swinging wildly from the branches like a trapeze artist (not pictured).

Spiderwort

5 x 7 inches, oil on board.
$80
This is an interesting plant. Every morning one bud opens and by evening it's withered.

Sun, Bamboo Leaves

The sun hitting these dry bamboo leaves is excellent. The amorphous object to right of center is a poor rendering of one of Babette's clay figure sculptures. I will revisit this area.
