The three dimentionality is very nice and the yellow color of the lemon is astounding. I get the feeling that I could reach into the image and take it out, slice it in half and squeeze it over a freshly brewed cup of Earl Grey tea.
This is one of my favorite paintings. I like the reflection of the lemon in the wooden bowl. There is a nice contrast between the smooth bowl and the texture of the lemon rind.
