You really captured a three dimensional quality in this painting. The lace is nice. I don't have the patience to use something with so much detail as a background in a picture. It reminds me of the pastel picture you made of two peaches with a fabric backdrop. Both works have a warm, positive feeling. I like the way Matisse used bright, bold designs in this backgrounds, but would never attempt anything that ambitious myself.
Don't feel guilty when I do a little housework. I'm going to MISS all the help I get from you when you leave for Portland!
